Re: Preg. check in!
we started painting the baby's room! Our stroller arrived! I am now officially in my 3rd tri!
I am feeling huge. And I have my 1hr glucose test tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it.
im doing ok...sunday was a terrible day, i was sick all day long. But yesterday and today i've been ok. I stocked up on all things sour- sour patch kids, sour ice breakers, war heads sour spray, and i just keep myself on a sour kick all day to combat the queazies lol
i made the huge mistake of posting our favorite boy name on baby names board to see the general opinion and people were so mean about it! for the record, it is Barron, and the question was basically "do you think of donald trump's son right away when you hear the name?" because my mom pointed it out, and i had no idea he had a kid named that! anyway, they called it pretentious, and said when they hear it they think of "barren-empty, useless, worthless"
the baby names board is pretty much useless. Can't ever win.
I had no idea that Donald Trump's son was named Barron. Either way, if you love it, its all that matters. And if it makes you feel better, DS's name will be Guilford. Not exactly a common name and is different and some people find it odd. But its a family name, and DH's name so whatever. We obviously love it. :-)
For the record, I grew up with a Barron, and never thought anything of his name. If you like it, use it. The baby name board is majority haters. Ignore them.
I'm doing good. I feel fat. Stupid bloat. I get nauseous when I start getting hungry. So I have started splitting my one lunch into two separate meals. I thoroughly enjoy my "2nd lunch" although, it does make me feel like a hobbit. But having to nibble something every time I start feeling hungry also makes me feel fatter. I don't want to gain more than 25lbs throughout these 9 months. My new bedtime is 8:30! 16 days until our first ultrasound!

mar, the secret to feeling semi-ok is munching through the day...luckily apples and grapes have been tasting really good to me, so i try to supplement crackers with those. I know what you mean about the weight..it's a constant thought for me. I'm already kind of chunky, so i need to watch the weight gain even more carefully...it's stressful! But seriously, eat when you are hungry and do what you have to do to get by!
and cheers to the 8:30 bedtime! I stayed up until 9:45 the other night and DH was like "Whoa! look at you rockstar!"
I am up 25 lbs and I've only just hit the 3rd trimester.
I am sorta okay with it. The normal weight gain is 25-35lbs for an average weight woman pre-pregnancy. However, with 13 weeks left, and only 10lbs before I hit that upper end, I'd be shocked if I manage not to bust that. And I will cry if I do, but I know that generally speaking I've been eating well and still exercising/going to the gym so I am not unhealthy. I just have to keep telling myself that.
I guess long winded post later, try not to focus so much on a certain amount of weight not to go over. Its just going to be added stress that you dont need. I am not 100% there myself, but I am getting better with just relaxing and letting my body do what its supposed to do for this little guy.
I ended up gaining 39 overall and that was while still working out and eating decently. The MWs said it was totally normal and fine
I gained almost all of it 2nd tri and it slowed down 3rd tri, so there's hope. I wish you were due sooner, our babies won't be in any of the same age ranges for mom groups!!
I know! ::snookieWHAAAAAAAAAAAA::
LOL!
I had gained 5 lbs by week 11, and my doctor said that was not a problem. If you're hungry it's okay to eat. Just make sensible choices! I am feeling pretty good since hitting my 2nd tri, I haven't fallen asleep on the couch in 2 weeks! Although I did go to bed at 8:30 on Saturday, but it had been a long day.
