Has anyone ever...
...organized a charity event? My family would like to organize a memorial walk in honor of my dad. All money raised would be donated to Lymphoma research. We'd like to organize something that includes bringing dogs along for a walk or run, since the dog was so important to him.
We've looked at societies, but none of them have anything like we would like to do.
A somewhat odd request, but thanks for any info anyone has!

I just participated in a walk for CHD (congestive heart disease). I could pass your name and email on to the organizer for that, if you'd like. The walk was just one of MANY that are worldwide and under the It's My Heart organization.
I am possibly volunteering to help organize a walk/run for this May. Once that gets underway (and if I get involved) I can help you a little maybe?
