Dog Boarding in RICHMOND or NOVA area?
We are traveling in a couple of months and looking for a good boarding facility for our dog. Thanks for any recommendations!
Re: Dog Boarding in RICHMOND or NOVA area?
My H and I take our dog The Dude Ranch Pet Resort in Glen Allen. It's about 6 miles north of 295 on Staples Mill Road (http://www.duderanchpetresort.com/).
The people are so nice and the facility is the best we saw. We visited 3 places until we settled on this one. It's very clean and staffed 24 hrs a day. They have runs that they take the dogs out in 2 times a day to burn off energy and you can pay for extras like more play time and special blankets and such. Our dog loves it there and pretty much forgets about us as soon as we walk in the door.
It's a little bit more expensive than other places, but we think it's worth it. They also offer a discount if your dog stays a certain number of nights, which was nice when we boarded him for 10 days for our wedding/honeymoon.
Hope this helps!

Holiday Barn - is the nicest place I have ever seen! They were even featured on the Today Show one time.

This is the only place I have ever taken my dogs to - truthfully the only place I trust. I love my dogs! haha
It is a little expensive - but very nice.
They even have suites that you can put more than one dog in ( I have 2) and the suites have a TV! Plus they get more attention in there!
