Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I just need to vent
IL's have yet to tell me Congrats on the new baby, or ask me how I'm feeling. We have not heard from them in I can't tell you how long. But today DH calls them to see how they are doing, well since he has the day off on Friday he is going down to see them with J. Problem is I'm only working until 12, but then we are heading to Indy for the weekend. DH asked them to come up here, but they said no, they would rather just stay home. Seriously...god forbid they actually come up and see us or have to have a conversation with me.
Then DH tells me an exchange student from high school is in the states and if he decides to go to T during the weekend, DH isn't going with us to Indy he's staying home to hang out with him. Seriously...WTF is your problem, we've had this trip planned since the summer, but once he talks to his family everything changes...UGH...
I didn't to vent somewhere...if I said all this to DH we'd end up in a huge blowup fit and it's so not worth it. The trip convo is not done though...

I can relate to your IL situation (except I don't really have personal issues with them). We haven't seen the ILs since the 4th of July and they only live an hour away. Dh has talked to his dad only once or twice since then and they just found out we were having a girl about 2 weeks ago. I don't know why they won't come out here and visit since they have no problem driving over an hour to go out to eat dinner. Then they steal my pictures off facebook, print them out and pretend like they spend all sorts of time with J when they know very little about him.
