Re: BC question
I also got mine when I was 16 (with my parent's permission cause I'm a goody two shoes like that) and I took it out about 4 years ago (was just kind of over it and with a little weight gain it didn't look as good, but looked real strange when I took it out). I always knew that I would take it out one day bc of baby belly and all. So it's been about 4 years now... and I still have a hole. It's not 14 gauge anymore like it used to be... but it can still fit something bigger than and standard earring.
So I took it out knowing that I wanted it to close up so that it wouldn't look gross when I got preggo... and now it looks like I'm going to have that anyways!!! WTF.
All that being said, J... I realize that I am absolutely no help. i have a friend that took hers out when she started to show and just stuck it back in afterwards. She says it never looked too bad. So if you are having trouble letting it go, don't. Fact is you're going to have a scar there no matter what so there will always be the chance that it is going to stretch out.
I had my cartilage pierced in college. It kept getting infected and I was on antibiotics 2 different times. It never really healed. 6 months after the piercing it would still bleed with I turned the earring. I finally took it out and within 2 days it was completely healed.
