my date showed me his goods last night
His canned goods that is!
I found that kinda hot, and I knew this board would appreciate it.
(editing to clarify, his home canned stuff, not like hey look here's some Campbells!)

My Blog
He wins some serious points!
Haha that is awesome, now I want to know what he cans. Whadda man!
One of the first times we hung out when my boyfriend and I started dating, he helped me make my first batch of homemeade laundry detergent. Talk about a turn-on!
I think it's cool that he cans.
I think it's even cooler that my neighbor no longer cans -- he gave me 6 dozen bottles (pint) to can fruits in.
I'm glad I could liven things up in here!
Actually I do find stuff like this really hot. Its definitely on the pro side of my decision chart!
SG, mmm pickling!! I LOVE pickled stuff, especially Asian pickles. That reminds me I have a bunch of broccoli because my neighbor went out of town and I only like broccoli in spicy broccoli stem pickles. Maybe I will try to make some before I feed it all to the dogs!!
Pickling I think is the easiest food preservation technique we've tried yet. DH uses the book Wild Fermentation, which he currently carries around like a bible. I drain off the fermetation bacteria (lacto whatever, I can't spelled it) from Stonyfield yogurt tubs (it's the liquid that pools at the top) and keep it in a jar in the fridge. DH adds the chosen vegetable, salt, bacteria, and enough water to cover in these awesome fermenting jars, and it sits on the counter for a week. Presto! Pickles, pickled beets, sauerkraut. If anyone has more questions page me
love that he cans-- hard to find!
supergreen, I LOVE pickles (I get great recipes for Bread n Butter & Chili from MIL). We may have to talk pickles
