I never thought of this before...

But my MIL was reading in an organization magazine and she read an article about not stressing out about dinners...and one of the suggestions was to get a few small baskets or plastic containers and then when you get your meal plan together you put all the dry ingredients and cans that you need for that meal in one basket. When you are ready to cook then all you have to do is pull out the basket and you have everything you need there. I thought that was an excellent idea, and since I have started to work on meal planning a little bit more this would make dinners even easier.

  • Anderson's Market does this - there are like 50 different meals offered in baskets; pick a basket w/the meal you want, it has all the mixes/cans/non-perishables in it, and the recipe. So you just get your chicken breast or whatever else you need and checkout. The Talmadge store is working on getting this too I guess.
