I think DH and I have had only one maybe two dates in the last 7-1/2 months. (Probably even longer since I wasn't up for doing much towards the end of my pregnancy.) My parents are awesome and would be happy to watch Amelia anytime we asked, we've just been too busy to take advantage. Tonight we have no choice but to take advantage since I won free tickets from work to see Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy! From a suite!!! With Platinum parking!!! And since we'll be out so late this will also be Amelia's first sleepover at my parents, so we'll get to sleep in however long we want tomorrow! Not sure which I'm more excited about - the comedy show or getting to sleep in.
Re: Woohoo!!! Date night!
That sounds absolutely awesome. What a fun night! Personally I find those three to be hilarious, I know they're not everyone's style but I would love to watch them. I'm a huge fan of good stand up comedy.
Hope you have a great time and actually sleep in tomorrow!! (I'm also hoping that Amelia's good for your parents so they volunteer to take her for a sleepover again some time.)
We LOVE Blue Comedy Tour, so both of us are really excited for tonight. Their type of comedy, just good clean fun, is about the only comedy I like.
Amelia is such a good baby that she would have to go completely out of character to even get close to being too much of a handful for my parents. She has slept through the night since birth; I actually had to wake her up for nighttime feedings. Occasionally, she'll be hard to put down or wake up and not want to go back to sleep but on those few times I can just bring her back to bed with me and all is well. (Unfortunately, DH is forced to the couch on those occasions since we only have a queen bed.)
Amelia is going to be a big sister!

My bosses own (we think) a suite at a local arena. It's the home to the Dallas Stars and Mavericks, and hosts concerts and various events. When they don't use the tickets to whatever is going on they offer them to us. Apparently, the owners of an upscale mall aren't very interested in seeing the guys from Blue Comedy Tour.
I was the quickest to respond to the e-mail offering the tickets, so we're getting a fun night out.
