Does anyone refigerate/freeze bread?
Re: Does anyone refigerate/freeze bread?
This. One loaf is too much for us & we're lucky to have touched at least half of it by the time it technically expires. We freeze it & take out slices as needed. Although, I'm not sure how long it's technically good for in the freezer.

H used to put bread in the fridge when we first started dating and it drove me nuts. It dries the bread out and makes it crunchy.
My mom used to freeze loaves of bread when we were kids and she made our lunches for school all the time. That way it didn't mold, but she never had to worry about running out of bread at 7am when we needed our lunches and she couldn't get to the store.
Yupppppppppppppp dont ask why because I have no idea!!
Maybe the bean likes cold bread!!!
THIS. We do it all the time. Sometimes I buy another loaf when we aren't quite done with the other one, it just helps to make sure we always have it if we need it.
I don't think it affects the taste or anything, just keeps it as fresh as possible til we can use it.
same. plus gerren looooves french bread so we buy lots of it and then freeze those loafs. we dont get fancy bread either. generic brand of the potato bread for my super healthy husband. no bread for me, just oatbran/flaxseed pitas.
sidenote: i love the word loaf/loaves

I like to loaf around and eat bread.
Do you slice the french bread down and then freeze it? Why have I never thought of doing this?
