So I got to thinking about this today and thought you ladies could help with an educated answer.
Leaves in your yard- I assume burning is not the best solution, so is mulching them with a lawn mower better?
What do you think?

Re: leaves?
I've heard that mulching them with the mower is good. That's what we're planning to do.
You can't burn here but I'm anti-burning anyway because I'm allergic to the smoke.
Mulch, or make leaf mold for landscaping next year.

I didn't want to mix that many leaves into my general compost, so they're in their own giant pile waiting for spring.
We use ours to cover up any flowers that need covered for the winter, then we usually just throw away the rest (we have a huge cottonwood tree that drops tooonnnnnssss of leaves) But I really would like to start making compost since our small town doesn't have a program for that. It is something I have always dreamed of doing. Not only do you save space at the landfill and dont waste garbage bags but you have a healthier and greener garden and yard!
hahaha when I read that I just got this image of someone dressed in all black sneaking around the neighborhood late at night stealing peoples leaves! That is awesome!
LOL. I usually ring the doorbell and ask the homeowner if I can take them, which elicits some seriously "WTF
" looks. I have though rolled up really quietly in my Prius, darted out and snatched them and put them in the trunk.
This! Around here gardeners pay a pretty penny for this stuff. It's often called black gold. We have so many leaves it would be way too much for our compost pile so we're creating leaf mold this year.
