I know we are all celebrating our 1st anniversaries (yay!) But I was rounded up into a group that is throwing a divorce party for a fellow classmate in our graduate class. We are pretty close with this girl and she is super sweet. However, her nasty H left her for his younger secretary at his work (classic lifetime movie I know) and he has been really nasty to her about it. My friend is an older woman, will be 40 next year and she wants to celebrate her divorce. What am I supposed to do? Any ideas for a Big D party?
Re: Divorce Party
PS- easy on the 'older' - I'll be 37 next month
! Seriously, after I left my ex, what I had to struggle with was the loss of identity- I was no longer Mrs. 'Blank'. Everything I liked- from art to hobbies, was tied up in what my ex was. It took some time to learn what I liked, and how to spend my free time.
I was gonna say the same thing! I'll be 34 next month and am the youngest of many of my girlfriends, some of whom consider themselves young, hot and still single! But I digress
...
If it were my friend, I would treat it like a bachelorette party. early afternoon mani-pedis with the cosest friends, followed by a nice girls-only dinner, followed by drinks, and if the night goes well, maybe some dancing on the bar! Well, that's what happend on my B-party at least. LOL! Have fun!
I like this idea!! Sounds like fun!
