Of course, it's "Happy Monday"...but as I'm writing I'm still frowning over my Ravens losing yesterday...bummer! Can't win 'em all...
But beyond that...Once again (my goodness, we're like at, three weekends in a row!) the weather was simply amazing - sunny and 70's!
Sat - I did my light house cleaning as planned, and in the evening H and I attended an engagement party for one of my good friends...of course, she and I got to talking wedding, and now I can't wait for hers...she's going all out, and it should be simply beautiful!
Sun - Well, football, but I can't say I was pleased with the outcome...but it was gorgeous day, and I had the place to myself (H visited his Dad and the doggies spent most of the day outside chasing squirrels), so it was still rather nice! Oh - and I cooked the most delicious roast dinner yesterday...yay me!
And what about you ladies???
Re: It's Monday! How was your weekend?
Well it's a wonderful Monday for us Philadelphia phans! (I think Lori and I are the only ones!) What a freakin awesome game yesterday played by the Eagles and especially the Phillies!
Friday my stepson had a piano recital, then I baked for the rest of the evening and sipped on a couple appletinis to relax from the week.
Saturday I went to visit my SIL and nephew (the ringbearer at my wedding) who just turned 4, so I had a present to take him, and my uncle from Birmingham came up too-lots of fun visiting! I came back mid afternoon to hang out w/the kids and cleaned up the downstairs a little, then watched the Phillies game 1 which didn't turn out as well as we'd hoped. DH went to the Flyers game w/a buddy.
Sunday my uncle came up to visit for a few hrs at our house then I hung out w/DH and we ate some of our wedding cake for our 6 month anniversary. I had worked on knitting a sweater for my niece (2 mo) for her Christmas present and I finished all but one sleeve which I am partially done. I asked DH for some coffee to help keep me awake for the Phils game and I ended up being SO wired I couldn't sleep until 1:30! I'm doing ok this morning though so that's good. I'll definitely use that coffee for the playoffs here but start drinking it much earlier than 7pm!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
Good Morning! I know your pain, my Cowboys continued their trail to crapville. Boo.
Saturday - My dad recently retired and started his own Plumbing business. He somehow convinced me to go with him to a "Childrens Health and Wellness Fair", where he had a booth. So I hung out with him and passed out business cards and all that good stuff. I can't really help him out technically in his business, so I figure some daughter support would be good.
Sunday - Family Bday party in Long Island...good times. Then football football football. Which again, not the best outcome but I do enjoy the games.
DH worked all weekend, but he just texted me that since I didn't see him on Saturday or Sunday he wants to take me on a date this week so that always helps boost my Monday : )
Well I'm not a football watcher...so I can't celebrate or commiserate! Though I do always tend to root for the local teams regardless.
Friday I went and visited my Gus got in a little cuddle time with my cutie. Then Saturday ran a few errands and then headed into the city to work a wedding which was nice. She had a white/ivory dress with a couple of HUGE hand painted purple flowers on the dress. It was pretty but not my style. All the bridesmaids were in white too.
Sunday I did some stuff around the house like going through old magazines hoping to get rid of LOTS before we move!! Then went to my parents because DH's b-day passed and mamma wanted to cook him dinner and give him his gift so that was nice.
Now its back to work for another week....DH is at jury duty.
We had a fun weekend - gorgeous weather in the midwest, as well!
Friday we left home for Kansas City to stay with an old friend of mine. We got in around 9pm and decided to take in a late movie. We saw "Life As We Know It", and it now has DH convinced that raising a baby wouldn't be "that hard". Bless him.
Saturday we got up and enjoyed hanging out - did some shopping, bought some locally made art, saw a few historical sites and ogled the rich peoples' homes. It was GORGEOUS weather, maybe even too hot. 86 degrees! I got a sunburn in mid-October. Then we made a stop at a BBQ restaurant before heading home (can't leave KC without BBQ!).
Sunday we ran some errands, then DH and his brothers/BIL all got together at our place to watch the Vikings beat the Cowboys, while I went and hung out with my ma for the afternoon. We ended the night with homemade apple crisp at my parents' house.
Good weekend!
I. am. so. tired! Weekend was worth it, though.
DH had to work so I went to Miami to visit some friends who got engaged recently. They live on South Beach overlooking the bay & downtown Miami -- absolutely gorgeous. We went out and met up with some old friends Friday night, then drank mimosas by their ridiculous pool on Saturday before watching football at night! It was a really amazing weekend, too bad DH missed it :P
Yesterday I got home around noon and we went to lunch and I got some new shoes (desperately needed). Then I read my book and had some wine on the porch for the rest of the evening. Perfection.
Happy Monday to everyone! I'm happy because I don't have to go into work until 11:30 today!!
Lets see...Friday was boring I went to bed early and got some much needed sleep...
Sat. we went to a football game (College) with my parents and some friends which is always fun
and Sun we lounged around, it rained and I love rainy days so it was the perfect lay on the couch and cuddle day! I would say I had a pretty good weekend!
