local vaca recs
DH and I are getting 2 nights kid free next week. We can't decide where to go. North Conway, Portland ME, down the Cape, Boston, somewhere else. Where would you go?

Portland is nice. What about Portsmouth? It's also a nice place to visit.
I suppose it depends on what you want to do... :-P
I would consider two options: go to Lincoln and do some day hikes. Or, i would go down to Cape Ann (Northern Mass coast) and do some sightseeing/ shoppping. Cape Ann because I have been Portland and Portsmouth quite a bit recently, otherwise I would go to either of those places.
Want kinds of activities do you want to do?
Thanks for the ideas ladies. Portsmouth is out because DH and I used to live in Dover. Not much left to see in that area I don't think. We decided on Mystic CT. Shopping, sights, trails, and casinos with amazing restaurants. Sounds good to me.
I'll keep Cape Ann on my list for a future trip.
