So how is MIL? Are you staying at the hospital still? Have you taken leave from work to be with her or are you going back and forth? Must be tiring

Thanks so much for asking Summer! I am actually at work today. I got home Friday night and had to coordinate a wedding Friday night/Saturday so I am exhausted. I took off work last week to stay with her in the hospital. Luckily, I get a sick day a month and I have about 7 weeks saved up from the 5 years I've worked here.
She is doing much better. They actually just took her back to remove the wound vac and close her up. She might get to go home tomorrow which will be great. We (being the skilled medical professionals that we are) think that there was probably a hole in her colon from the beginning and that's why her recovery from the original surgery was so bad.
Les is doing ok
. He's just worried about his Momma. He's staying up there with her this week.

Oh, that's good news! I bet she'll be much happier at home. Here's to hoping this is the last of surgeries for her!
You're a good DIL for staying with her for a week. Don't know that I'd do the same! Mine is wonderful to me but they'd have to admit me to the psych floor.

I am actually very lucky. She is very good to me and I know she appreciates my help. I know I've been a little hard on her in the past for always coming to see us (EVERY week), but she loves us and it's nice to have love
