Ok, first I'm having a Celebrating Homes party on Nov.13th. It will be between lunch and dinner. I'd like to stick with a fall theme, but I'm having trouble with foods. I know I'll serve cranberry punch, pumpkin dip with graham sticks, and caramel apple cheesecake, but I need some savory ideas. Cheese and crackers? Some kind of meat? What about sliced turkey on rolls with cranberry mayo?
In December, I'm hosting a "Souper ladies fellowship" for my church friends. I'm planning to serve:
baked potato soup with green onions, cheedar, and bacon
taco soup with jalapenos, sour cream, cheddar and corn chips
cornbread muffins
oyster crackers
chicken salad crossiants
pimento cheese on wheat finger sandwiches
red velvet and coconut cake balls (not combined, lol!)
coffee, tea, lemonade
How does that sound?
Re: Two party menus: need some input.
I'm sending you a PM!
Love the turkey sandwiches idea! For your crackers, why not cream cheese with pepper jelly? Cheese straws? Veggies with a dip? Is Taste of Gourmet sold near you? I'm heading there this weekend to stock up on dips and such for my holiday parties.
The December menu sounds wonderful! I think it's really perfect.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I think the turkey sandwiches idea is a good one. You could also do a pumpkin or squash-stuffed ravioli but served as finger food with dips instead of as a pasta main dish. Mushrooms are also good for fall savory.
Your church menu sounds good to me as well.
