Hi All -
My mom was put in charge of candy favors for a shower, but since she's never done it before, I'm helping her with it.
I have 2 molds of 6 shapes each. I need about 40/50 of these by Friday evening. How long does it take for these to set?
I read somewhere that I should put them in the fridge and somewhere else that says "don't refrigerate"... which do I do?
I was thinking about doing a batch tonight, a batch tomorrow morning, a batch tomorrow night, etc.
Please help! Thx!
Re: Wilton Candy mold - help
Here is a great tip list for using candy molds.
In regards to the refrigeration step, if you are using candy melts you can freeze or refrigerate them.
If you are using a fine quality chocolate, refrigeration will discolor the chocolate.
Depends on what kind of candy you are making. If it is chocolate it doesn't take long at all, but other kind of candies may take longer. Some recipes will say how long it takes. maybe compare some of the recipes and see...
And if it is chocolate, then I would say put it in the fridge to speed it up. I have done fudge and regular chocolate in molds and they all turn out fine when I put them in the fridge.
