Re: new here /newlywed

  • Crock pot meal are the best. My favorite is pepsi cola roast.

1 roast, 16 oz pepsi, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 pack of onion soup mix

Put roast in crock pot, sprinkle onion soup mix over roast, mix pepsi and soup together.

Cook roast on high 8-10 hours.

Just fix a couple sides and you have a good meal.

Also tacos and hot dogs are my other easy go to meals

  • One of my easiest meals is a crockpot meal too...

    Pulled Pork

1lb pork tenderloin, garlic powder, onion powder and celery salt (~a tbsp each, I usually just eyeball it though), ~1/4 cup Worchester (this is also an add to taste) cook for 8 hrs or so on low, pull pork apart with forks, add just enough BBQ sauce to make it wet!

Our uber easy meal is hot sandwiches... (stolen from DH Smile) turn the oven on broil, toast bread in toaster,  add whatever deli meat and cheese you prefer, put it on a cookie sheet or brownie pan (if only cooking 2 sandwiches, that's best), put it in the oven for just long enough to melt the cheese (this does not take long at all! I've burnt some bread on this step, lol) and put the rest of your toppings on and enjoy!

Otherwise, spaghetti is our easy go-to and the George Foreman is my best friend!

  • Two words:  Trader Joe's

I'm not sure if you live near one, but we eat their frozen meals all.the.time!  They are very delicious, nice portions for 2 and most are pretty nutritious!

Our other easy meals include grilled cheese with tomato soup, tacos, hamburgers with baked beans (canned), spaghetti, grilled chicken with frozen veggies, BBQ chicken pizza, and breakfast for dinner.

  • One of my favorite quick and easy meals is to take Zataran's red bean and rice (or black bean and rice) and add andouille sausage and shrimp. I also tend to add an extra can of beans. It is soooo good and quick! You can also take a can of cream of mushroom soup, rice and chicken and that's yummy! Oh! Another one I just thought of was taking fajita steak meat and cooking it in worchester sauce with garlic powder. I then top it with cream cheese & chives (philadelphia cream cheese). I also like to make stuffed mushrooms with it, just cook the mushrooms (cap facing down) so the liquid runs out, (350 for 15 mins.). Then stuff with the cream cheese and chives and top with garlic powder. Warm in oven (warm setting) for about 10 mins. It is sooo yummy!
