Re: It's official!
Congratulations!
Have any pics to share?
Ditto! I haven't been around much so maybe thats why I am confused!
No I did not move back in with him yet. I bought a home. I was renting until now and just gave my 30 day notice for that and will be starting to clean and decorate the new place this weekend. It's a mobile home and definately a fix-er-upper, but all the important stuff is almost brand new. The insulation underneat to protect the pipes was replaced last year. Furnace is only 2 years old, water heater is 4 years old, comes with washer, dryer, gas stove, fridge, the oldest appliance is 5 years old.
I will have to replace carpeting and flooring in the whole place, but my Dad is VERY good at that with all the homes he has built so he will come up and help me. And the wallpapers and paint are MOST definately NOT my style so that will be taken care of also! lol
But for the price I paid for it, I really couldn't turn it down. I was able to pay CASH for this home so closing went VERY quickly! Heck, this whole ordeal went VERY quickly! lol
Brent and I will be moving back in together. But he can't give up his place until December 15th, due to notices, etc... We have both been in counseling still and our relationship is stronger than it has ever been, so we both feel we are ready for this step. It took a LOT for both of us to work through our problems. Many people would have just given up, but I feel if you love someone and you WANT to make it work, with a lot of hard work, it can happen. Both of us wanted it so we did what we had to so we didn't lose each other for good.
Congratulations, Ro!
Owning a home is exciting and you should be proud, especially being able to pay cash for it. No matter the price!
Can't wait to see pictures.
Hoo-ray for a new chapter in your life
