I realized I have tons of old socks in my drawer that don't have holes but the elastic is gone. Any ideas on how/where to recycle them? I hate to just throw them away. I already have plenty of dust rags.
Re: Sock recycling?
Someone posted a similar question about underwear. I believe it was said that these items can be taken to the Goodwill and will be recycled.
You should use them as family clothes.
The trees will love you if you do.
Time to put on your big girl panties
I've got your rainbows and ponies right here
Forgive my ignorance, but what are family clothes?
If you have to ask, you probably don't want to know. My Goodwill does take clean, dry worn out clothing and other textiles for recycling into things like insulation and sound equipment. You can call and ask.

Fail. LOL
She means family cloth; washable cloth toilet paper. If you Google it, you'll find lots of info; off the top of my head, I can't think of any regulars here who use it, but I think a few ladies over on Eco Friendly Family do.
OP, if you know any elementary or preschool teachers, you can see if they want them. They make great whiteboard/chalkboard erasers for the kids.
