this WW stuff is for the birds!
Seriously! Please someone tell me it gets better or give me some helpful hints on satisfying foods that won't eat all my points up (and I'm talking ready made stuff...I'm not feeling like whipping something up in the kitchen)! I'm tempted to google how many points are in a hand because there's times I've swear I've been hungry enough to gnaw it off

Re: this WW stuff is for the birds!
I wasn't a fan either. I was the type that wanted to just grab stuff and go. That's why I seriously was considering e-diets - but they are so expensive! I just don't cook. Probably the best thing you could do would be to prepare your meals at the beginning of the week or the night before. Do you like the veg soup? I know that one was like 0 points. Maybe it might help to try to fill up on that.
Who am I to give advice though - I've been trying to lose a lot of weight for quite some time now. My problem is that I'm like ADD with diets - I start but then get bored and wanna do something else.
I am going to go against the mold here and say I LOVE WW, I lost a LOT of weight on it (if you look at my - extremely outdated - bio, you can see it. But since the last time I updated it, I got pregnant, had a baby, and lost all the baby weight already with WW). I do remember that it took some adjustment in the beginning to getting used to the portion sizes and not being hungry all the time, but if you tough that out for a week or 2, it will get better!
My favorite WW snacks are: chopped veggies with fat free italian to dip them in, Laughing Cow Light cheese, string cheese, scrambled egg whites, Progresso 0 point soups, sugar free jelly on whole wheat toast, fruit, 100 calorie packs, sugar free jello, those microwaveable Betty Crocker cake things (the mini sizes), cereal and milk, hummous, apple and peanut butter, yogurt, WW muffins, graham crackers with sugar free jelly...
Really, the beauty of WW is that you can make ANYTHING your snack. Just use portion control and know how many points it is. Are you working out? If yes, are you eating your activity points? Are you utilizing your 35 Flex Points per week? I lost weight at a much slower rate if I didn't eat those 35 extra points (it sounds backwards, but that is what happened for me) . It's the portion control part that gets most people, no one wants to be bothered with it because it does take time, but it's KEY to losing. What I did was after I went to the grocery store I took a black sharpie, used my points calculator and wrote the points on everything as I put groceries away. I always packed my lunch the night before so I could portion everything out and not feel rushed.
Anyhow, I always encourage everyone to give it a chance. Your body will need time to adjust to the smaller portions, but I think people are too dismissive. You have to be open and willing to change your lifestyle before you will lose anything or stick to any "diet". I know that I wasn't ready to lose, til I was really fed up with being overweight and decided to do something about it once and for all. I am glad I did, as here I am 2 kids later weighing what I weighed in high school and in single-digit sizes...
