s/o on debates

I saw someone post this below.  Sorry, I forgot who it was already.  More coffee!

"McCain's delay angers me because it may lead to the cancellation or delay of the VP debate.  If the VP debate was moved up to tomorrow, I could maybe understand.  Pushing back all the Prez debates after the due date for absentee ballot due dates in over a dozen states also doesn't sit well with me."

Will this really happen?  Or is this one of those worst case scenarios?  I know my ballot has already been mailed to me, and I know a friend of mine has already voted.  Overseas military do get their ballots earlier than others, but not by much, I thought.  I was listening to a program yesterday that mentioned how many people would vote before election day.  It was a huge percentage (I forgot the exact number though).

So, is anyone talking about this angle?  About how debates need to happen before people vote?  Wasn't this talked about during the primaries?  That the early voting meant that some of the exposed scandals (Rev Wright videos for example) didn't have as much impact as expected?  What are the bloviators saying about this if anything?
