As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

i has a birthday party sad. =(
i totally didn't enjoy J & S's bday party on saturday.
everything was so hectic and i was running like crazy trying to get food together, decorations put up, keeping both kids from eating said decorations, etc. i played hostess the entire time, breezed through their presents because they were cranky and had no naps, and was cutting the big cake while they were smashing up their little cakes, since no one else would volunteer to help me. and i have no pictures. at all. my mom took some with her P&S, but it's not the same.
their actual bday is tomorrow, and i'm glad we waited to buy their presents from us until now. so i'm gonna bake a cake this evening, wrap presents, and enjoy a little at home party tomorrow with just the four of us. and i will take pics!

FIL didn't show. MIL came for about an hour, and right before we started opening presents, pulled her two off the table and said "can you open mine first? 'cause i have to leave in five minutes."
hubs said yesterday that they *may* come by tomorrow... i hope not.
ugh, hubs needs to tell the IL's that it's just gonna be the four of you.
I'm sorry that happened, the first birthday can be hectic. We were lucky and Elise had two parties also, one big one and a smaller more low-key one up here, so I was able to enjoy it some. The one with just the four of you will probably mean more to you in the long run, anyway.
um, yeah. i stayed up late last night watching their birth video and bawling my eyes out.

I'm sorry it didn't go as planned, A. That's crappy of your IL's (and kudos to you for not tossing MIL's gift in the garbage disposal) and I hate that you didn't have any help. =( But I am glad that you guys get a do over!
