Hi, I'm new to this board.  I usually post on military nesties.  My H is in the Navy and we are living in 29...I think that's part of the inland empire?  I'm hoping that lurking and posting on this board will familiarize me with the area more since I'm still fairly new to it.

Where did you originally come from (since you mentioned you're fairly new to the area)?

Other than the fact that I'm having trouble finding a job, I like it out here a lot.  After spending most of my life where it rains at least once a week I really enjoy the desert.  I'm from Johnstown, PA.  It's about an hour and a half southeast of Pittsburgh.  What college did you go to?

I'm a respiratory therapist.  So far I have gotten my license and have called a few hospitals but they all say "we will be posting jobs soon".  I'm just being patient for now.

Do you miss the fall? I grew up in the midwest and it's always hard for me this time of year. It's one of the very few things that I miss.

  Welcome!  Have you checked with Kaiser Permanente hospital?  They are going to be opening up a few hospitals out in the San Bernardino/Riverside areas.  While that would be a drive, many people are trying to transfer, so maybe some spots will open up closer to you.

That would be great if something were to open up.  I wouldn't mind driving to San Bernardino or Riverside.  I have looked as far as Loma Linda so far.
