Questions regarding WordPress

I have a couple question for you regarding word press & its abilities.

 

I am wondering if you can add a adobe file which would include several pages & people be able to access & down load it.

 

Also I am wondering if you can have other people have access to contribute to the bloging besides just myself.

 

I already have blogspot & I really like with wordpress you can have the different tabs on that note it looks to me like you can chose the tab you want & blog accordingly is that the way that works? With blogspot it seems limited.

I'm a little confused as to what tabs you're talking about. I think you may be talking about pages which when added can create a menu either on the side or top of the page depending on how you have your layout. I find that both blogs offer this.

I use Wordpress myself but have also used Blogspot/Blogger. I prefer Wordpress because of how easy it is to use and how customizable it is. Because I host my Wordpress on my on web host I am able to customize it even more than Wordpress.com.

As for sharing files, I'm sure there's a plugin/widget for that.

I'm answering this in regards to a self-hosted WordPress installation (software downloaded from WordPress.org). WordPress.com has a different set of functionality and I've never used it myself.

This isn't a WordPress function so much as a server function - but if your server can run WordPress, it would also be able to host files (including a PDF, which it sounds like is what you're asking about) for other people to view and download.

Yes - you can add as many users as you'd like and assign them different roles, from merely being a content author to being an administrator and having the ability to alter the site's design and functionality.
