Work Vent
First let me say I am happy that I have a job because I know some people are not as fortunate...but.. my boss is getting on my nerves. 4 people have quit in the last month and now the people who are still here are getting lots of b*tch work to do. I have been filing for the last couple of hours and its annoying. This is not the job I signed up for, and the person who usually does this is here, so I dont know why she is not doing it. I think I am just in a bad mood, but still I am getting annoyed and considering looking for another job.

I can def sympathize! I actually just had another meeting (what we like to call "bash sessions" at work) yest and had the same argument w/ both of my bosses that I've been having for over 10 years. They have me doing the work of more than 5 people and keep piling all this crap on me that I can't do. We have a total of 2 people in our office now (down from 5-7 over the years) and have NEVER replaced ANY of the people who left b/c they were sick of this crap, too.
I'm only sticking this out until we sell our house next year. 10 & 1/2 years of the junk I put up w/ is not worth the gray hair and stress anymore.
I've had way too many jobs like that so I can feel both of your pain. That is one of the reasons I love working for myself. But of course, that has it's downfalls too. I do need to reconfig my filing system and have a ton a busy work to be done before I start my next project.
Let's just face it....working sucks!!
I agree! I am a nanny right now until I graduate in December and hopefully find a "real" job. The 3 year old I watch is literally emotionally abusive every day to me and his mom does nothing about it. In fact she makes excuses for his horrible behavior!!! Moms need to get some balls and discipline their children when they are rude! When you don't, your children are awful and unbearable. A 3 year old is still able to really hurt your feelings..especially when the first thing he says every morning is, "I don't like her/I hate her/I don't want her here"
So I'm on the new job search too! I hate the "you should be happy to have a job" because we should not have to be happy that we are all being treated like crap one way or another.
