im looking for adult halloween party ideas

i dont want games that take everyones involvement, but rather something that people can chose to participate in or not. weve invited over 40, over 21 yr olds to a party where there will be drinking, snacks, and somewhat later, scarey movies on a big projector screen. including rocky horror picture show.

last year, we had beer pong, which like 4 people played. and there was mostly just drinking and hanging out,

so far i thought it would be fun to do pumpkin bocce, we can paint mini pumpkins different neon colors and play out in the yard.

im not so much interested in prize based games, just stuff for people to do other than just drink or talk.

what other games would you reccommend.

  • What a about a murder mystery game? Everyone picks a character out of the hat, portrays that character, and one person is the guilty party (you can also pick that out of the hat - innocent or guilty)

We're playing cornhole this year. I've never played so I have no idea what it's like.

  • ok, so this isn't a haloween specific game but can have as few as 4-5 people, and is ALWAYS great, and takes pretty much no money or setup time. You could theme it by requiring people to have haloween or spooky themed beginning sentances.

     Telephone Pictionary.

Each person starts with a stack of 3x5 scrap paper- one sheet per person playing.

Everyone writes a sentence on their paper (for example: "I like pina coladas, and walks in the rain"), and passes the entire stack to the left once everyone is done.

The next round each player must draw a picture based on the sentence they were passed. the sentence goes on the bottom of the stack, and once pictures are done the stack gets passed to the left again.

Next round is sentences based on the pictures passed.

you continue this process, going back and forth between sentences and pictures and making sure to look ONLY at the top sentance or picture, until you get your stack back. Read the sentances out loud  and show the pictures in order from yours to the end.

you'll always wind up with some hilarious pictures and end sentences, and it's not so complicated to take a lot of explaining.

    Good luck!
