moving

hey all. im sort of new to the nest but my sister suggested i check it out.  right now im in northwest arkansas, but recently found out my fiance and i are moving to the cincinnati area.  i just went there 2 weeks ago for the first time. i do like the area and had the chance to be shown around for an afternoon by a realator we know up there.  just wondering about any ideas of good areas to live.  i didn't get to look at any houses in KY, but liked Harrison and Miami heights.  my fiance's work is in wilder, KY and we dont want to be more than 30-45 mins commute from there.  we really want a home less than 7-10 years old and somewhere between $175-300K range.  I know this is vague but ive only been there once.  I would like to be there by march pending us selling our home in AR.  of course we're willing to rent too until find a good place.  we dont have kids yet but i am also looking at school districts.  any ideas or opinions are welcome, ive been in AR for last 20 years and the "moving far away thing" is new to me.  thanks!!!

Re: moving

  • I really don't have an area to suggest but wanted to say you can get A LOT more house for your money in KY.
  • We just bought a home in Ft. Thomas KY and really like the location. They have great school districts as well and still close to Cincinnati too. Harrison is nice, but isnt' that far from your husbands work? Do you need a realtor? What's funny is we'd love if a buyer came in and said they couldn't move in till March on our home due to us having to wait to move into our new one...  Good luck and welcome!
