Door to Door Organics?

Has anyone used this? Would your recommend it? I missed it in the groupon email a couple days ago. I'm pretty upset I missed an opportunity to try it 1/2 off. It looks good... maybe to good to be true. Is everything fresh when you get it?

Re: Door to Door Organics?

  • Embarrassed I may or may not have gotten impatient and ordered a bitty box already tehe. I would still appreciate responses though.

  • I've been using them for about 2.5 years now. Overall I'm very happy with them. We get a bitty box, both fruits and veggies, delivered weekly. During the summer I usually switch to biweekly.

The produce is always fresh, though I don't feel like it lasts as long as store-bought does, but maybe that's because it's organic ?? In the summer, they include ice-packs in the box to keep things fresh. Anytime I've received bruised or rotten produce (which really doesn't happen often), I email them and they give me a refund right away on that item.

They don't always use local product, which can be a negative for some people, but they try to. I don't mind that too much. As of this year, they are recycling their boxes, which is great! You just leave the previous weeks' box by the door and they take it back to reuse when they drop off your new box.

As far as pricing goes, I feel like you get a LOT for what you pay. I would easily pay more for organic produce at a local grocery store. Yet here you also get delivery! Another perk is that you can swap out your box's items. A week before you get the box, you get an email that lists what will be included, great for meal planning! If you don't like an item, you can swap up to 3 on the list. You can also customize your account w/ items you don't want to receive and items you want more of.

Anyway, have I sold them well enough yet?? LOL. It's a great company with great CS.

  • I got my bitty box in the mail today and it was perfect!! I was able to sub what I didn't like out and I got a TON of stuff (or at least I feel I did). It all came fresh, except for 1 green pepper which was split down the side. I will definitely be using this bi-weekly. Thank you for the review!
