Pep rally day = craziness!
I don't know what it is about the pep rally but every year it has kids off the wall for the day! So many of the girls have questionable clothing - such as shorts you can barely see they are so short! Plus it's cold out - do parents really allow this or are they changing at school? Students are also crowding the bathrooms to put paint, glitter, etc. on themselves - boys and girls alike. I know this is all fun and games but the school is chaos right now. I just saw one of my students in a full out make out session with a girl I don't know. They are only 12 - wow kids really do grow up so fast!
Re: Pep rally day = craziness!
Oh wow 12 is waaaaay too young for full fledged making out and skimpy clothes.
Otherwise I was smilling at your post remembering all my fun pep rally days and how nice it seems that your kids are really into it! Much more into it than my school ever was.
I agree!!!
Everyone got an email from the VP Friday afternoon about the dress code. It sounded like a bunch of teachers emailed her about the inappropriate attire and she basically said if we just sent the girls to her she would have taken care of it but since some teachers emailed her, she didn't get the emails until after the pep rally so it was out of her hands. I didn't send an email to her but it was a LOT of girls so what should we do, send down the entire grade level of girls to her office? Seriously!
