Just moved back to ATL - need OB/GYN rec please
Hi all,
DH and I moved away from ATL 5 years ago and are in the process of moving back (and I'm so excited!).
One of the first things I need to find is a good OB/GYN, preferably female, preferably located in the VA Highlands, Morningside or Midtown areas. I'd love any recommendations you might have.
We plan to start TTC soon, so on that topic, is Northside Hospital still the best place to deliver in town? Does anyone know about deliveries at Emory University Hospital Midtown?
Thanks for your help!
Re: Just moved back to ATL - need OB/GYN rec please
You will find people have had good and bad experiences at Northside, Piedmont, Atlanta Medical Center, etc. In terms of having the best NICU, yes, Northside is best, but any of the other large hospitals in Atlanta are going to be fine, too.
My doctor delivers at Piedmont, and I've heard great things about the hospital. I see Dr. Lillian Schapiro at Peachtree Women's Specialists, and I really like her.
I go to Kristian Adams at Piedmont 404-352-3656.
She is the best obgyn I've ever had. She really takes time to answer any questions you have.
Is that Dr. Amy Wetter? If so, she's in the practice I go to, I really like her!
I just changed practices and didn't deliver with them so I can't recommend. I did deliver with Dixie Hare, CNM of OBGYN of Atlanta twice though. At Northside.
Oops! you are right. I always spell her name wrong and I have been going to her for years. Silly, Meryl!
