Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Why does it take an act of God to get a competent technical person on the phone? This guy has asked me the same question 4 times. You would think he would figure out that my answer hasn't changed! Ok, vent over.

I HATE Dell as well!!! I had major issues with them. I will never buy one again. I wanted a MAC but the program DH uses for work isn't compatible with them yet so we just bought a HP and LOVE it!!!

LOL. I am tech support. I always start my calls to Dell, HP, Charter, etc. with a preface that I am an A+ certified PC Tech that yes, you can talk to me in technical terms. Still doesn't work most of the time.
Sometimes I think technical support is a joke. A trained monkey could do what those people obviously can't do.
Edit: I just read where you are technical support. No offense to you, but I've never had good luck with them.
No offense taken. I do hands on support and training, which is much different than talking on the phone. Most of the time, the people on the phone are just following a script. Hands on people actually have to know what they are doing.
