Gearing up for the big move into our FIRST HOUSE (!!!) in Waltham. We've always had comcast living in Boston, but I've noticed that RCN also has services in our area- seems a little cheaper too.
I know we've all had our fair share of cable/internet horror stories...anyone have opinions either way, on either of these companies??
Re: Comcast vs. RCN
Congrats on your first place! I live in Waltham and DH and I have had every major provider except satellite--Comcast, RCN, and Verizon. Honestly, they're all the same to me. For Internet, FiOS has faster upload speeds than the others if you do a lot of uploading, but for TV there's no difference as far as I'm concerned.
I will say that Verizon has been the worst about billing. Other Nesties have commented on it too. I was on the phone with them every month for about a year to correct things. Such a PITA.
We have the quad bundle and have everything, even our cell phones, on one bill. It is so convenient.
