Trying to buy a house in the City..
I recently got married and my husband and I are looking to buy a home in Chicago, by the end of May.
Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent and/or agency?
We plan to start a family and adopt a puppy within the next year also (I know...big year), does anyone recommend their neighborhood as a family oriented, safe with good schools that's affordable?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Trying to buy a house in the City..
North, south, or west Chicago?
Do you need to be by the L or by buses?
Do you want to be by a dog park?
Do you need to have easy street parking?
What neighborhoods have you lived in and liked?
We are in the exact same boat, looking to buy by May 2011. We have been working with a great realtor for the last few months. She is patient with our timeline and sends new properties several times a week and has taken us out to look as well. PM me and I will send you her info.
We too are starting to look. We're using a family friend who's a realtor. PM me if you're interested.
We currently rent in Lakeview neighborhood and love it. We also have a dog. We love Wiggley-Field dog park (by Diversery and Sheffield) and also in the summer Montrose Dog beach. Lakeview has tons of tree-lined streets w/family homes.
