Banana pepper plant

We have 3 banana pepper plants in our raised bed garden.  It looks like the amount of peppers it is producing is finally slowing down, so I think it is coming to the end of the season for these plants.  Since this is my 1st year of gardening, do I pull the plant up and plant new seeds next year or do I keep the plant and cut it down and it will start to regrow next season?
