hi from NJ..please help me plan trip to Boston

Both DH and I are off the 1st week of Nov and are planning a last minute trip to Boston.   We are planning on leaving home on Monday(have to figure out best time to leave to avoid AM rush hour traffic....depending on traffic we have a 4-5 hour ride).  We are going to stay 2 nights.   So we have Monday afternoon, all day Tuesday, and a good part of Wed(doesn't matter how late we get home since we are off on Thurs....we just need to be home in time for me to get to a 1 PM dr appt on Thurs!)

Our son is 2.5 so we're looking for kid friendly stuff to do.   We thought he would get a kick out of the Duck tour plus we know about the aquarium and children's museum.    I was thinking of just walking around Monday afternoon along the Freedom Trail.   Then doing the aquarium and duck tour on Tues followed by the children's museum on Wed.

We were thinking about getting the  Go Boston Card or the Boston Citypass.   We're leaning towards the Go Boston one since it has more things and includes the Children's museum plus a 2 day pass for the Beantown trolley...thought the trolley would be handy with a 2.5 year old.

Any suggestions on other things to do with a little one?

  • I think your itinerary sounds good. The aquarium does leave something to be desired, but they have this show your kid will probably like with seals and the seals can give kisses and high fives and stuff. Have fun!
