Duplicate post...sorry

I'm wondering if anyone else thinks this shower is a little bit odd...

The wife of my cousin is due next month.  They live in Alberta.  She does not want a baby shower and won't even be there.  It starts at 5:30 on a Monday night (tonight).  I have never met this woman.

I RSVPd because it's my Dad's side of the family which is HUGE, he has 4 brothers and 5 sisters, and it's really just an opportunity to see family that I don't get to see very often (and give my grandmother her wedding pics so I don't have to make a specil trip out Wink )

I'm going by myself since my SIL and brothers girlfriend gave this function the major side eye but did go in with me on a present.  We decided to get a GC from Toys R Us and an outfit, since really, how/when are they going to get the presents to them?  Will they ship them or give them to them when they are home for Christmas?

Anyone else read this and have this reaction... Huh?
