F/U: Refinancing
So we got the house appraised and you ladies were right, they didn't go looking for things wrong, just did a quick job. We got our appraisal back and it appraised at $8,000 more than when we bought the house! (I've heard some people say the houses are appraising at less than the value b/c of the bad market right now, guess not)
Plus, we only have to put $2500 to get us at the 20% mark (guess you don't have to pay some kind of insurance if you've you've paid off 20% of your house). So we are very excited. So if you're thinking of re-financing, now is probably a great time, we'll be lowering our payment by at least $400/month!

That's awesome! Yay for a lower mortgage payment!
When we bought our house, the bank financed so that we didn't have to pay PMI. I'm so glad because it makes our monthly payment much more affordable!
