Oprah today
Did anyone watch Oprah today? I don't usually get to watch it but was home sick and saw it. Life can change in an instant. It got to me what she said about someone out there is having a bad day. It helps me to remember to keep things in perspective (i.e. problematic co-workers, daily little things, etc.) That couple has a lot of courage!! I wanted to talk about it with someone so I thought I would post!
Re: Oprah today
YES! I saw it too. I was also at home from work today, not sick but I had an allergic reaction to something and I woke up with swollen eyes and could barely see out of my left eye.
Anyways, I also don't get to watch Oprah that often so I watched it today and I was definitely crying through some parts. I can't imagine how much courage it took for the couple and how strong they are now is amazing. I do think it has helped them having the triplets, not to replace the other children, but to keep them busy and help keep their mind off of the bad thoughts and to stay in the positive.
I've had so many things (very petty compared to this) that I always think, "What if I did this instead of this. Would the outcome be different?" And for them to say that they had to accept the situation and stop going through different scenarios to have a different outcome and to move on was really inspiring. It makes me want to put a little note on my desk and at home to look at when I'm having a bad day to remember that life can get a lot worse and there are other people/families who are going through a tougher time.
