Boxwoods with brown/dying patches...
We have a hedge of boxwoods at our front porch that is turning brown in spots. We've had sufficient rain so it isn't a drought issue (though I am pretty sure boxwoods are drought resistant anyway, right?) I noticed it a few weeks ago, and it's gotten progressively worse since. There are big patches of brown leaves, or bare stems.
We've lived in our home for 2 years, and I know this definitely didn't happen last fall. Any idea what it might be? I hope they're not dying.
TIA!

~Life After Infertility~
I?ve had this happen and the three answers the gardner we hired to trim them gave me were:
It?s the fungus that?s going around and killing off boxwoods, if it?s that, there is no cure.
Your dog is peeing on them and they don?t like it (this turned out to be the case)
Sometimes boxwoods get an iron deficiency or other mineral and lose branches.
