anyone following Mont Vernon case?
Is anyone else as obsessed with this case as I am? My friend was Jamies teacher at the Elementary school so she gave me some updates on her progress. Seems like she's doing really well in school but I'm sure she is still haunted by what happened.
I can't believe Spader is pleading not guilty too, I can't wait to hear what his defense is. At least the other kid is going for a insanity defense, you have to be insane to do something like that.

My heart breaks for that little girl and her father. This is just so horrific and senseless. I waffle between wanting to know what happened and just being so disgusted/disturbed by the whole thing that I tune it out. I hope they all get maximum sentences. The evidence seems to be overwhelming.
I've lost track of how many were involved. Is it 4 or 5? I've been leery to click on the news stories to get info because I don't want to start reading grisly stuff.
I'm glad to hear the girl seems to be adjusting and healing. But I have to believe that you are forever changed by something like that.
There are five total being charged, two with murder, two with buglary and one with something like evidence related, he helped them get rid of there clothes and stuff but wasn't in the house with them.
The thing that really worries me is that there is no physical evidence that they were in the house, not a print, not a hair...nothing. I can't imagine what would happen if they got off.
I read that the first officer on scene had to have surgery on his shoulder he broke when breaking into the house. I can't imagine the scene he went into. I'm not religious but I hope someone is watching over them.
Ugg. Against my better judgement, I watched the news this morning and they covered a lot of details. Testimony from the officer that first arrived and video of the prosector retelling the crime.
I know they don't have a lot of physical evidence. But they do have Spader bragging in jail to fellow inmates about the crime. I really can't imagine them getting off, any of them.
I am completely disgusted with the whole bunch of them.. they've totally ruined the lives of that family. I feel like the local media is giving WAY too much info out tho.. it's awful to think about what happened, but do we really need every small detail? What about the family's privacy?
