Officially Changed My Name!! :)
yay! I got my social security and my driver's license. Now I have to change all my cc's and loans and stuff. It's going to be weird not signing my maiden name anymore. Also, now we can cash all those checks that had my new last name on it lol.
Re: Officially Changed My Name!! :)
Yay!
I went to Ben Franklin yesterday on my lunch hour and I signed my maiden name instead of my married name on the receipt...I felt dumb, but no one knew or noticed. I'm still having trouble remembering!!!
Congrats!
Am I the only person who is going to change her name that hasn't started this process yet and doesn't feel like it?
I am honestly still on the fence with this one, but everyone is sending me things with DH's last name and introducing me with DH's last name so I think I might just bite the bullet. I haven't done anything to start the process though yet.
You know what my mother does? She uses whatever name she feels like. I'm not kidding.
She has my last name, and her new last name. So sometimes she writes Linda MXXXXX. Other times it's Linda SXXXXXXX. Or Linda MXXXXX-SXXXXXXX.
I feel like using my maiden name on legally but signing it my married name when we do things jointly.
Did I just define lazy? I think so.
Tee hee. I though I defined lazy, but I guess that's only w/ hausfrauing. I'm completely Mrs. newlastname. Changed my shiznit ASAP. I still have a horrible time writing said newlastname though
i dropped my middle name so i'm Jen Maiden Married...at least when i slip up and write/sign Jen Maiden I can correct and just slap on the Married and all is peachy-king again
i always knew i was smart, hahah
I loved changing my last name!
I was sad to see my maiden name go, but knew I was starting a new chapter in my life!
