Slow the past couple of days.. how is everyone?
I'm exhausted! I started my new job and have been in orientation all week. There is so much to learn and I have a lot to review this weekend in prep for this coming week. I'm excited to get going, but nervous at the same time. DH had a health scare this week...in the hospital on wedneday w/ chest pain and had a stress test/echo today. All of which were negative. But, he is now on blood pressure meds. Too much in one week! ugh..
Re: Slow the past couple of days.. how is everyone?
Wow, you have had alot going on this week! How scary!
Jakob had his appointment with the allergist on Tuesday and they did some food allergy testing on his back since he had that reaction to peanuts awhile back. Not only did he show a reaction with these tests to peanuts (HUGE btw), but also to shellfish, milk, eggs, and carrots! I'm floored and thoroughly confused by this because this is a HEALTHY KID who had a reaction ONE TIME to a peanut butter sandwich. How all of the sudden now is he allergic to all of this stuff that he has been eating FOREVER with no problems?
He does have a small amount of very mild eczema in his joints so we're going to cut out everything he tested positive for with the exception of the milk and see if that helps with it at all. They're also going to re-test him in six months.
Also - Caroline had a perfectly normal hearing test this week, and I'm excited about that! This was the first one she's had since her tubes went in during her palate repair surgery. It was scheduled for earlier in the summer originally but could not be done then because she had an EI at that time. She's talking up a storm lately, though, so I was not too surprised at how well she did!
GRR Nest deleted my typing...
#1) Hope DH feels better! How scary!
#2) Crazy allergies! Glad Caroline is talking lots
#3) I have a bunch of "let's get together that weekend" plans for Columbus Day, but, once something is planned, if the times work out, Anna and I would love to gtg!
Our week- busy, but good. DH & I went on a hot date to Brad Paisley concert last night- so much fun!
