I had my massage appointment today and had a good talk with the therapist and the physiotherapist at the clinic.
My MRI report did have some info about getting a follow up (cervical MRI) on a possible malformation. The resident seemed ready to have me do follow up but my doctor didn't seem to think it was a big deal. After talking to the RMT and Physio today, I decided to go back to my doctor and get a copy of the report. Something wasn't sitting well with me about the malformation information and lack of follow up.
The MRI states that my cerebellar tonsils stick out farther than they should and it suggest Chiari Malformation Type I but that it should be followed up. The physio was going to do some research on this and work out a plan for me. I am a healthcare professional and I do take information on the internet with a grain of salt but I've been doing some researching and it seems like this is a condition that if I have it, I should not have my neck adjusted.
I'm going to bring my copy to the chiropractor on Friday and see if he can do some adjusting of my lower spine but NO neck adjustment except for traction. I feel safer sticking with physio for now.
Thanks for listening and giving me advice throughout the day.
