Our public affairs officer came up to me later and asked if I'd shopped my closet for my costume. But Of Course! I refuse to spend money on a costume when I have a perfectly free one....
Costume: Old show hat with harness removed (before ASTM approved helmets; I wore it in college for IHSA shows), my real show boots, schooling breeches, polo w/embroidered stable logo, and a "show number" pinned on my back.
