Can I compost garden plants and tree leaves?
I'm new to composting..just got my tumbler today! I plan on pulling up the garden this weekend. I didn't know if I could compost those or not. I also have a purple leafed maple tree (not sure of actual name) and have huuge piles of leaves from it.
Thanks for any input!
Re: Can I compost garden plants and tree leaves?
You can compost any plant material that isn't diseased.
I personally don't compost weeds b/c our compost doesn't get hot enough to kill seeds, though. Leaves & non-diseased plants are fine.
