When I walked out into the living room this morning I heard some strange noise coming from the kitchen. I asked my husband what that noise was and he said "oh it's the dishwasher I did the dishes for you." While he was saying this I was thinking in the back of my head that the dishwasher has never made this wierd of a noise. When I finally made it into the kitchen there were bubbles every where! He told me he couldn't find the dishwasher soap so he used the next best thing Dawn soap. Needless to say washing the dishes will be my job and not his. LOL!
So on this note does any one know how to get rid of this soapy mess? I've tried to clean up most of the bubbles.
Thanks! By the way I'm new to this board. My name is Alyce and I'm from the Houston area.
Re: Dishwasher-Please help!
Hi! I'm new too
Well, all I can think of is running your dishwasher without any dishes or soap in there. It might help. I've never had that happen but I'm sure it's annoying!
Mop up and scoop as much of the water as you can.
Dump vinegar in the dishwasher to cut the suds and run a rinse cylce over and over until it's gone.
My Dh did this too!! We were moving out of our apt and he was in charge of cleaning the kitchen! Just as we were about to leave he said I put the last of the dawn in the dishwasher so its shiny and clean! We had to wait till it ran its course and we were mopping up bubbles for about 15 min. lol
I wish i'd known about the vinegar lol!
Oh and welcome!!
