I had a kitchen fail last night

I will put it on my blog, but the failure has left me wanting to cook things.  So tonight, I am going to make wontons -- and I will make the wrappers myself.

(Making the wrappers is partially to see if I can do it, and also because I don't have any premade ones, and I don't want to go to the store for them)

I will make cream cheese ones, and some kind of shrimp and veggie ones.  And if DH isn't home to eat them, it's his loss.  I won't even offer him the left overs.

Yum! I've made salmon rangoons with smoked salmon before...that, cream cheese, scallions, ginger i think... came out tasty!! Good luck on the wrappers!

Ooooh, I love those cream cheese ones. 

When we cook Kenyan food for people, we make Kenyan-style samosas. Rod always wants to attempt to make the wrappers ourselves, but I've never been that motivated. We buy egg roll wrappers and cut them in half.

what is crab rangoon?

Cheese-filled fried wontons that claim to have some bits of crab in them.  Not sure they actually do, but they're delicious either way.
