Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

NER: Whee! I just ordered a G1 phone!
Ok, so I'm a T-Mobile customer and I've been very happy with them. So much that I didn't want to change providers to get a cooler phone. I'd been drooling over the iPhone for a while now, but I have very strong feelings about AT&T selling their souls to the gov't over customers' privacy. So as much as I wanted an iPhone, I couldn't bring myself to go to the dark side.
I'm a bit of a tech junkie, and I have legitimate smartphone needs, so I've been super excited about the G1 and Google's Android OS. I especially love Google's open source approach to new applications. Many of them will be free!
Another reason I'm excited is because the release of this phone will coincide with a new project my H and I are working on that combines smartphone technology, (especially the bar code-scanning feature) easily downloadable apps, and "ethical" shopping. I'll follow that up with another post later.
