Since a lot of us like to shop ahead of the big Christmas rush, I figured we could start now. This year we could do gift baskets, food, ornaments, or whatever your little heart pleases.
Who's in?
ETA: I'm going to try using Elfster. So click on the link to join the party.

April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
I'd do it too. But I have to be honest for a moment...I participated last year and the person I sent to dropped off the board right after I sent it and I'm still hoping she got the ornament and I can't remember if she was to send to me or if it was someone else but I didn't get one sent to me. So I'm a little cautious...
I was just thinking about this yesterday. I am definitely in! What kind of $$$ limit do we want to do?
Laur- We can rig it so I can get you and you won't get jipped this year
I'm in!!! I was thinking about this also, but I was worried I'd be jumping the gun so soon after Halloween :-) Woo Hoo!!!
I'm headed over to "elfster" now! And Laur, I don't think you'll have a problem with our bunch this year...we have a really great core of ladies!! Join us!!
Last year, I told Shelli of these exact concerns when she asked me about it. But if you think about it, the people on this board now post regularly and we know each other pretty well. It's a completely different board than it was last year at this time.

I totally agree that this bunch of ladies is much more regular and totally awesome! Thats why I signed up! Julie sorry you were jipped too!!
I'm in this year again!
Yeah I agree, we should defintely each list a few things we would like/interests of ours once we decide on a price range.
This is going to be so fun!

Yes more than likely. I agree that $20 is a good limit. I'll add it to the sight.

Lori, I'm sure we can totally work with the Hanukkah thing. I don't think it should be a problem for anyone.
I vote Holiday -- I am both Christmas and Chanukah.
Also, Ladies that didn't receive anything last year, I'm sorry! Did you ever tell Shelly?
Danielle
oooh, oooh, I'm in! It was great fun last year!
Oooh, Hanukkah is "early" this year... will folks mind if Hanukkah-minded gifts are late (if we set the mailing deadline at 12/11)? Maybe this is something we can add to our "wishes/preferences" list.
I don't celebrate Hanukkah myself, but I wouldn't want anyone to feel left out!
I too have been thinking of using Elfster for my family... good choice Mel!

Taking a break from being poked and prodded
Totally in! Have we decided what we are going to do? Here are my suggestions:
1. Book
2. CD
3. Movie
What's great about those is that most of them can be sent electronically (if you have a Nook/Kindle for the books) so it's GREEN and also probably costs less!

I love "Elfster"! In case anyone hasn't had a moment to search around on the site - they have a "wishlist" search feature that allows you to add specific items to your Elfster wishlist. The cool part is that it automatically links you to Amazon.com's site to get the items, which are (in most cases) cheaper than what you'd find in a brick and mortar.
My wish list: It's all on Elfster, but just to give an idea of my process: I selected gifts which were all under the $20 limit, with the thought that the remaining left over could go towards shipping costs. Hopefully that will keep the total gift cost very close to $20.
Happy Shopping - this is gonna be fun :-)))
December 11 it is.
For those of us who get someone who celebrates Hanukkah or Chanukkah maybe you could just see to it that the gifts were out before hand.
