My inner teeny bopper...

...is FREAKING out right now!

I just read that Ryan Seacrest has confirmed that the New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are going on tour together next summer!! Eeeek!!! I loooved NKOTB when I was really young, and I spent all of my teen years in love with the Backstreet Boys!  I can't wait...yeah, I'm totally gonna go! Embarrassed

They even made a website... http://www.nkotbsb.com/  hahaha!

Re: My inner teeny bopper...

  • I was not a huge NKOTB fan but I LOVED BSB! My mom even loved Backstreet haha...she got so upset when I started to like *NSync! I'm  not going to lie....I may go see them if they come close enough! Love me some Brian Littrell!

  • I was well into my 20s during the BSB years, but about 12 at the peak of NKOTB, so yeah... I was quite smitten with Jordan. Embarrassed That being said, I would never pay the (probably) ridiculous prices to go to this concert.

  • Um ya I just got really excited (I just yelled to my husband who was going on tour and he said "OOOOH GOD"..lol).  I saw NKOTB 2 years ago (and Lady Gaga opened for them and nobody knew who she was) and they were awesome!  I was also smitten with Jordan when I was younger, but now I am a Donny fan.  So yes, I am excited about this!  You know what else is exciting?  BSB is going to be on Oprah tomorrow!  Yup....I totally squeeeeed when I saw that earlier. Embarrassed

Yeah, I totally went to the NKOTB Reunion Tour also...and in Boston.  It was ahhh-mazing!  Lady Gaga didn't open for them there, it was Natasha Beddingfield, she's very good live, I like her.

I smitten with Jordan as a kid.  I even got to meet him when I was in high school...I grew up right outside Boston near where they were from.  My friend and I were Christmas shopping at the local mall, and I spotted him, surrounded by some BIG bodyguards.  Once he walked away from them, I jumped.  I followed him saying  "Jordan? Jordan? Jordan? Jordan" until he turned around.  Yeah, he totally autographed my food court receipt. Big Smile  Looking back now, I kind of feel bad for bothering him while he was just trying to do some shopping...but at the time, I was 15, and he was Jordan-FREAKING-Knight!

  • LOL....  I wish I would have done that when I saw Howie from BSB in the Galleria here in St. Louis.  I saw him walk into the bathroom, his huge bodyguards stand outside, then he came out and started walking away...I just froze...then yelled "HI HOWIIIIIE!"...He turned around with a panicked look on his face like he was about to get trampled...but I couldn't move my feet...just yelled.  Big Smile

That would be AH-mazing to see NKOTB in their home town of Boston! Wasn't their opening night in Boston?  The concert that was on VH1?

And yes Natasha Bedingfield also opened for them when I saw them.  Lady Gaga was the very first act that nobody knew (she had on a white leotard, 2 male dancers, and a black sheet at her background) and then Natasha (who was also amazing).
